On days 7 and 8 I made mostly cosmetic changes to the house. I finally got around to painting the indoors a little bit and putting wallpapers on the walls and because that's not enough, I also have to make the wallpapers and walls look old and weird because that's just the way it has to be for this house :D
The blue wall right there isn't ready yet though, but it's getting there slowly.
This is the second floor stairs with a bookshelf built into them. Because my floor was curved, I couldn't fit the stairs in no matter what, without sawing a piece off from the top, it was however really late and I wasn't thinking clear so I accidentally sawed off way too much, so I have to figure out a way to fill the gaps later on..hehe...oops? :D
I found absolutely stunning floors for kitchen and bathroom. Too bad I didn't take photos of the wallpapers from those rooms, I already set them up but it was after I took photos so I'll have to show those the next time :) I fell in love with those green tiles so much that I was thinking about them all night and then I had to go buy them the next day. I was thinking I'd wait a little longer until the house is more done but I just had to. It gives me hope and makes me feel that I'm closer to finishing the house than I actually am :)
The living room will be mostly green. I added some decorative painting on the sides of living room doorway. It's bronze paint but looks somehow off in the photos, but then again colors are twisted in all of the photos. I'm sure it'll be nice when I set it up.
But yes, this is all I got to show from days 7 and 8, I did lots more too but photos will be up next time :)
A blog about building a Greenleaf Lily dollhouse by Corona concepts. Ups and downs.. English isn't my first language so take it or leave it :D
I really hope this blog will help anyone who is building this dollhouse or a similar kind, because this is not as easy as one might think it is. I do not recommend this for someone who wants a dollhouse fast and who doesn't have experience with building. You have to cut and saw and sandpaper and glue a lot. And hammer. And curse.
I also hope it will inspire other dollhouse fans the way other peoples creations inspire me <3
If you like challenges and are nuts about building and creating, this is just the thing for you! You have found it :)
